Valentine wreath

Hi bowmakers!  I thought I'd put my own interpretation into this fun little project I found on Pinterest.  Theirs was done using Spring as a theme and I automatically thought Valentine's Day only because I simply HAD to make this project and because Valentine's Day comes before Spring around my neck of the woods.

So I hope you enjoy this little wreath.  I believe the instructions called for a styrofoam wreath, but when I went looking, there were none available in a small enough size for my taste.  So I grabbed a small grapevine wreath, encased it in masking (or painters) tape to keep all the sharp twigs from puncturing my fingers (I cut off the ones that were really poking out before I wrapped them in tape).  You then wind eyelash yarn completely around the wreath.  I doubled up on the yarn so that it would go a little faster (I'm the Queen of instant gratification remember).  Then the crowning glory of a luscious bow made with the Craft-Dee BowZ (this is the 4-1/4" size) using this lovely wired heart ribbon.  I added additional tails of lace and dotted swiss for additional accent.  I also added one long piece of the same Valentine ribbon (looped thru the bow before tying the knot -- as seen in one of my online videos) so that I could hang the wreath.  I finished it off with some punched hearts which I glittered (you can't really see it in the picture) and a red glittered heart in the center of the bow.  It came out so sweet!

Here's a close-up of the bow -- fabulous!

I hope this has inspired some of you.  Think how many different occasions you can decorate with this type of project.  St. Patrick's Day, Mother's Day and so on.  Feel free to leave a comment - I always like hearing from you.

Love

Hi!  Amber Hillman here with my first blog post as part of the Craft-Dee BowZ design team. Hope you enjoy it.

Today I have a Valentine's Day card for you, well a Love card that could be used anytime of the year really. But what better day than Valentine's Day? I embossed my image and cut it out. Used some pop dots to make it stick out a little. Distressed the scallop circle layer with sandpaper and cuttlebugg'd the red layer. As for my bow. I used lace and ribbon together to make my double loop layered bow. Kept with a white background and circle to bring more focus to the bow and heart.

Thanks for stopping by!

Have a Heart

No, really, Have a Heart!  That's what this card really tells you.  An unusual way to present a card, this is done with the fold at the bottom and "lapels" folded back from the cut front flap.  I then decorated them with DP, matching card stock and this wonderful new border from Sizzix.  Then I punched several layers of scalloped hearts using Spellbinders dies, banded everything in Krylon gold to give it a pop.  The last thing, of course, was creating this multiple loop, wired ribbon bow for the heart.  The heart actually tucks inside the "lapel pocket" for an unusual presentation.  Hope you enjoy!

Hope you enjoy.  And I love hearing from you!

My First Post Here!!!

I am so excited to be a part of this team! I was honored when Donna asked me to join them! This is the neatest tool ever, it REALLY works!!! You can make the coolest bows with it! Here is my first project!

I used paper, stickers and diecuts from Moxxie's XOXO collection.

I did a double-loop bow using the red dot ribbon and one with the white lace and put them together for the bow I added a pretty pearl pin to top it off.

Here are a few close-ups of the details. I used my Kuretake Zig markers for my "faux stitching".

The red blooms were cut with my ECraft using WorldWin ColorMates paper. Their paper cuts so easily on all die-cutting machines, manual and electronic. I have an ECraft, and Cuttlebug and GrandCaliber and the paper cuts beautifully on all.

I urge you to try to Craft-DeeBowz tool, it really does work. I hope you liked the post and I really appreciate you stopping by. Check back later,We'll have lots more to share with you!!!

I was recently asked to review a bow tying tool from Craft-Dee BowZ.  Craft-Dee BowZ, a lightweight, totally self-contained bowmaking tool that allows you to create 12 different size bows from 1″ to 4-1/4″.  It is portable and small enough to slip into your purse or craft bag.
This small wooden block is the perfect tool for the bow tying challenged.  You can tie a bow in 12 different sizes and no matter what, it comes out perfectly.  Your packages and cards will all now look like Martha Stewart made them.  They even had the distinction of being voted Hot 20 Innovative Products at Summer CHA in Chicago 2012.
Here’s a quick video to show you how to use the tool:  http://www.papercraftplanet.com/profiles/blogs/craft-dee-bowz-product-demo
Seriously, don’t we all envy Becca Feeken and her mad bow tying skills?  Not any more… check me out Becca… that bow tying fool in your rear view mirror is me! (I’ll just envy you for a variety of other reasons<3 p="p">

Another round of Valentine!

Hello everyone! My name is Brenda and I'm excited to say I'm a part of this wonderful design team with Caft-Dee Bowz. This is a wonderful tool! It is small enough to take with you anywhere!

I made a triple loop bow with a wide wired ribbon. It was tricky at first, but I mastered it. I had made so many cards for Christmas, that I decided to do a home decor item.

I went to a thrift store and bought this white shelf with drawers and thought, I would take this ribbon and hang this shelf and add this beautiful bow. I really like the way it turned out!

I just want to say thank you Donna for allowing me to have a part of your very first design team. I hope to do you and the Craft-Dee Bowz justice.

Thank you all for stopping by to check out our creations with this wonderful tool! Hugs Brenda

It's Valentine Time

Hi Everyone
Happy New Year Everyone!!! My name is Barbara and I am one of the new Design Team members here at Craft-Dee BowZ. I am so excited to be here, spotlighting bows, using this easy to use bow maker. If you are a challenged bow maker, this tool is definitely a must have for you. This tool is easy to use and super portable so you can take it to crops, club meetings..... just anywhere. You will become the bow queen when you use the bow maker.

Well for my post today I wanted to add a bow to something other than a card. Since Valentines Day will be the next gift giving event, I decided to get a box ready for a gift. The bow I used is a multi-loop bow (my favorite type of bow).

I just love working with a wired ribbon, it makes your bows look professional!!! I get tons of compliments from all my friends about my bows. They are truly amazed and I keep telling them how easy these are to make using the tool. The gift box I chose to use is a pillow box and I added a punched belly band. Over the belly band I added ribbon down the center and placed my bow in the middle.

Purchase a bow maker and you will be amazed at the look of your bows. I am sure you will be a great bow maker.Click here to make a purchase.

Thanks for stopping in today, see you soon!!
