Gift bags

It's my Tuesday to post at Craft-Dee BowZ, and I'm thankful for the 'scheduling' feature on Blogger since I'm out of town at this time, having a white Christmas in Flagstaff, Arizona with my husband, daughter and our beagles. The challenge this month at Craft-Dee BowZ is ANYTHING GOES AND ADD A HANDMADE BOW. The team, however, likes a bit more of a challenge since we use bows all the time anyway, so our challenge was to decorate a box or bag and use the colors burgundy, evergreen and tulle. Our sponsor is Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps and More and I used this wonderful image called Cabin in the Woods. The name is a bit fitting, isn't it?!

I even made a gift tag for my gift bag. Thank you, Donna, for the base tag which I decorated!

The ribbon we had to use was awesome again this month. I used this dark red checkered ribbon for my bow. I made multi-sized loops using my bow tool and couldn't have done this with just 2 hands, so this bow tool was invaluable to me!

Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps and More is proud to sponsor this challenge. Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps and More, a division of I Did It Creations, was created and is owned by  Robyn Weinrib. Robyn offers a wonderful variety of digital stamps and digital papers, designed to meet the needs of all digital paper crafting addicts for every occasion. Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More is happy to award 3 digital stamps of the winner's choice to the winner of this challenge.

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and enjoyed time with family and friends.

                                                                                                Hugs,
                                                               Gail

Santa gift bag and card set

Hi Tracey here
It is time for my  December  Challenge mid month inspiration projects
This month I have made this Santa gift card and box using the cute image called Jolly santa and you will find him HERE. at Robyns Fetish who is the sponsor for the December  challenge.  I used craftwork cards papers, stamps from my stash that I have had so long I have forgotten where I bought them !! To create the self close pouch box I used my crafters companion big score board. The burlap tags and ribbon came from my CDB boss as part of my monthly MPP pack. I used my Craft-Dee BowZ  bow making tool to create the stunning bows. It is so easy to use and produces stunning bows time after time . I dressed the bows with little bells and bead strings.

I hope you like my projects and that you will join us in the fun December challenge.I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends ....
Happy crafting

A Christmas Bag

Hi everyone
Barbara here with a great project for this time of year.

The designers have a theme for December - Bags or Boxes,
so I thought I'd decorate a plain bag and make it festive for the Christmas giving season.

 Our sponsor for December is:

is proud to sponsor this challenge.

Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More, a division of I Did It Creations, was created and is
owned by Robyn Weinrib. Robyn offers a wonderful variety of digital stamps and digital papers, designed to meet the needs of all digital paper crafting addicts for every occasion.
The December winner will receive - Robyn’s Fetish Digital Stamps And More is happy to award 3 digital stamps of the winner’s choice to the winner of this challenge.

I used a beautiful poinsettia image from Robins Fetish, called Prissy Poinsettia

Here is my bag all prettied up

Here is a closer view of the poinsettia image
I added some colored flat backed pearls to the berry spots on the image

Here is a close up of the bow.

This sheer ribbon is a dream to work with and is easy to manipulate
getting those loops exactly where you want them to lay.

The December Challenge here at Craft-Dee BowZ is in full swing and you still have time to submit your project. Remember, the theme is Anything Goes with a Handmade Bow
We will be looking for your submission and you just could be the December winner.

Stop back next Tuesday to check out Tracey's project.

Festive Holiday Gift Bags!

Vicki here...it's my day to share December inspiration with you.

Christmas is only 12 days away and it's crunch time for many holiday shoppers.  Finding that special gift isn't always easy and gift cards have become more popular in these busy times.  It takes the guess work out of buying the right size, color, style or taste of the gift recipient.

This month, the Design Team is sharing lots of inspiration on how to package your gifts to make them look pretty and elegant.  I have chosen to alter mini gift bags and boxes that I will be able to use for the gift cards that we are giving this Christmas.
So...here's my mini bag/box inspiration for you.

Gift Card Holders

First up is a mini kraft and gold striped gable box that I embellished with a sprig of holly and a gorgeous green sheer bow.  The background is white paper doily.  I glued the "Merry Christmas" sentiment to a burlap tag.

Next is a white mini bag that I covered with pieces of patterned paper from a new collection I recently purchased.  The colors were perfect with the sheer maroon ribbon in our DT product.

I used some leftover silver ribbon from our November product to create the bow for my final mini bag.  The patterned paper was in my stash from years ago.  I embellished the bag with a dimensional die cut snowflake to pick up the pattern in the paper.

Whimsical Elegance

Vicki here...I'm up on the Craft-Dee BowZ Blog today sharing some holiday inspiration with you.

This month the Design Team has been working with the colors of red, silver and gold ribbon on our projects. We are also creating ornaments, 3-D or on a card. It's the perfect time to get those decorations ready to enhance your holiday décor!

It was so much fun playing with these ribbons.  I thought the red and white print was somewhat whimsical, so I wanted to create a project that went along with that fun theme.  And, here is my "whimsical" candle holder!

I found this old wooden spool type candle holder in an antique store a while back.  It's been sitting on a shelf collecting dust, but finally has a purpose.  I trimmed it with holiday patterned paper scraps, added a cute Santa bell and finished it off with a beautiful bow created with my Craft-Dee BowZ tool.

My next project is much more elegant.  I created a rosette ornament to hang on the tree or decorate a package.

I scored two pieces of 3 1/2 " x 12" patterned paper and hot glued them together to form a circle.  Then, I gently flattened it and added four additional layers with dimensional foam tape for the 3-D effect.   The pine branch die cuts, red flowers and white leaves add a perfect festive touch along with the gold doily background, gems and gorgeous bow.

Time to decorate the tree!

I love making Christmas cards. I make them year round and since our weather has finally cooled down below 100 degrees here in Arizona, it's a little easier to be making winter cards. The challenge this month at Craft-Dee BowZ has been ANYTHING GOES AND INCLUDE A HANDMADE BOW for all of you.  The Design Team, however, got a bit more of a specific challenge and we were to use red, gold and silver for our colors and an ornament(s).  So, I dug out my dies and had this set of ornaments by Elizabeth Dies and some new greenery die by Sizzix and the row of trees on the bottom is a die by Marianne Design. The sentiment is by Whimsy.

Perhaps the side angle below will be more helpful. I found it difficult to photograph metallic papers, so maybe you can see that my far right ornament is gold in the below picture. The background paper is white pearl and it's giving off a bit of glare. My apologies for not being a great photographer and for making it difficult to see my red, silver and gold ornaments very clearly. I used chunky white embossing powder on my greenery and trees and 3-D white paint for my falling snowflakes.

I love the way my three bows came out. I used my Craft-Dee BowZ bow tool and whipped out these three double looped bows super quick. By using my bow tool, I also got 3 exactly the same size bows, which was a small detail that mattered to me. Thank you to Donna at Craft-Dee BowZ for the great ribbons!

Do you own a bow tool?  Do you want to own a bow tool?  If you don't have one and order one in the month of November or December, let me know and I'll send you a large number of ribbons as a bonus for getting one! I'm addicted to ribbons and have more than what I can use and happy to share with a new bow tool owner! My e-mail is on the side of my blog, here.

A Pretty snowflake

Hi
It is Tracey here with my inspiration project for November. The design team had the theme of silver/gold/red and we had to make a 3d ornament . So I thought I would make a snowflake .It has been made using strips of 12x12 paper from the DCWV Elegant holiday paper pad. I made the embellishment for the middle using a Tim Holtz die. The sentiment banner came also from the DCWV paper pad.

I attached some silver organza ribbon so the snowflake could be hung up and the beautiful triple looped bow was made using my Craft-Dee BowZ bow maker. I used creative expression small  dazzler gems to decorate the bow centre and snowflake

I hope you like my project and that you come and join us in the monthly challenge where Anything goes with a handmade bow.
Happy crafting

An Ornament for my Door

Hello everyone,
Barbara here for today's post.

I thought I'd share with you an ornament I made for my front door. This was a quick and easy project. Just using 2 larger sprays that I picked up at Michaels . I just wired those sprays together and added the finishing touch - a bow made using my trusty Craft-Dee BowZ tool.
I was able to pull this together in less than a half hour.

These quick projects are so fun and I love how the door ornament looks.

That ribbon is a wired ribbon and it makes your bows stand out and they look so fluffy. Another nice thing about wired ribbon bows is if the bow gets smashed in storage for next years display, just rework the loops, fluff the loops out a bit and it will look like you just made that bow.

This tool will be your lifesaver for making bows and a whole host of other things this tool can help you with, for your various projects. Check out the video links on the left sidebar to see what else the tool can help you make.  Click here to order your own Craft-Dee BowZ tool and if you order yours now, you will get it in plenty of time for all your holiday bow making needs.

Don't forget that the November challenge is in progress here at Craft-Dee BowZ and we'd love to see your project. Click on the Monthly Challenge tab at the top and choose November 2016 to take you directly to this months challenge. We would love to see what you have made - remember the challenge theme is always ANYTHING GOES with a HANDMADE BOW.

Thanks for stopping in today and stop back next Tuesday to check out what project Tracey has made.

Boo to you!

Hello, it's my Tuesday morning to post on the Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge Blog with my card for this month's inspiration!  The team had the challenge of using lime green, orange and black. I realized, while pulling paper and picking out an image, that I love this color combination! The challenge for YOU is ANYTHING GOES AND ADD A HANDMADE BOW. The team got to use their own images and I used this image named Magical Day by All Dressed Up. Isn't this one cute little witch and the perfect time to make this card with Halloween one week away!

She's colored with Copics and I added glitter to her wings, hair barrette and stars. The black border pumpkin is a punch and I punched the border in black and then orange and then glued the orange pieces into the spaces. Yes, I realized afterwards I could have just lightly glued the black punched border down on solid orange and used my scissors to cut around the top punch. But, it was something I didn't think about until AFTER I finished findings those tiny oranges pieces and getting them in the spaces. Oh, sometimes I just wonder about my patience level...it's so high for stuff like this and then it's zero when I'm driving home from work in traffic.

Okay, everyone go "oooohhhh" and "aaaaahhhhhh" at my bow. I used two different orange ribbons and used my hand dandy Craft-Dee BowZ bow tool to make this double looped, double ribbon bow. If we ever have a bow contest, I'm going to win. Yep, me...with my little bow tool. I adore this bow. I think it might be one of my Top 5 best bows on my blog. I had the perfect ribbons (thank you, Donna, at Craft-Dee BowZ) and with the bow tool, I couldn't go wrong. So, what do you think of this orange bow?!

Being that it's the fourth Tuesday of the month, and if you follow our challenge blog, you know I'm the last to post each month and I like that! The challenge is about to end, you're feeling rushed and want to enter, and then I post my cute little card that inspires you. Right?

Take a look at the gorgeous cards and projects posted before mine this month and I hope you'll pull out an image, die cuts, pretty paper, or whatever...and make yourself a handmade bow for that project since there's a few more days before the challenge closes at Craft-Dee BowZ where the challenge is ANYTHING GOES AND ADD A HANDMADE BOW.

Hi
It is Tracey here with my inspiration post for this month .. I had a real fun time making this card and chipboard house set ... Sorry for all the pics ...
The cute image is from Mo Manning which I coloured with promarkers. The bats, ghost spider and web are from a sizzix  sizzlit die set called my life  .The happy Halloween words were computer generated. The papers are from my stash The gorgeous ribbon was part of my pack from Donna this month ,it made such a beautiful bow .I used my Craft-Dee BowZ Bow making tool to form the double looped bow.

the witches house was a chipboard kit  from HERE .I built it  then added heavy black gesso ,orange acrylic paint ,pebeo guilding wax.some ghosts and bats  and the word boo which I used a sizzix xl die for and finished it with a matching ribbon on the base.

I hope you like my projects and that they inspire you to join in the anything with a handmade bow challenge this month
