Autumn is here!

Well, okay, maybe not where I live in Phoenix, but on the calendar it says it's autumn!  Welcome to the week I get to have my card featured on Craft-Dee BowZ Challenge Blog. I used this adorable image from Elisabeth Bell for my card.
I colored my image with Copics and used this felt pumpkin, adding a bit of ink to the edges and some wire curly vines.
My bow is a triple loop and I used my bow tool to make it. I've recently been complimented on another site for my bows and I have to contribute great bows to my bow tool. Do you own one and don't use it? Give it a try as every bow comes out great and you spend less time making pretty bows and since they always come out perfect the first time, you save ribbon!
Our sponsor this month is Bugaboo Stamps. As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was six years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects. Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!
The challenge prize this month is FOUR digital images, winner's choice, from Bugaboo Stamps!

Have you seen the other wonderful cards made this month by Barb, Kathy and Tracey? With a team of just 4, each Tuesday is a special day at Craft-Dee BowZ. Since this is the last Tuesday of the month, if you have your creation ready to post, you need to do so right away. Remember, our challenge is ANYTHING GOES AND ADD A HANDMADE BOW!

Create with your soul art board ...

Hi all
It is Tracey here with my inspiration post for this month .. I have been doing a lot of mixed media pieces lately and thought I would create something in that line for you this month instead of a card . The pretty ribbon I had from my MPP pack inspired this piece . The ribbon colour was a perfect match for my blue distress inks..
The art board is 18cm tall and is made of MDF . I painted the base and sides with black gesso. I prefer to work on mountboard  rather than straight onto mdf for my techniques as it has a lovely smooth surface and reacts well to lots of mixed media techniques,.so I cut 2 pieces of mountboard for the front and back of the mdf piece . I then inked them  up using tumbled glass ,broken china and peacock feathers Tim Holtz  distress inks . I used black versafine ink and stamped the foliage using sheena douglass stamps. I cut a smaller mountboard square ,inked it in the same colours and stamped the sentiment onto it . the sentiment is one I have had for a while and I think it was from visible image. I also added a freehand edge to the sentiment just it finish it off.

The triple  looped bow was made using my Craft-Dee BowZ bowmaker . It is my go to bow creator as it makes perfect bows every time so easily you can get yours HERE

I added a pretty flower to the bow centre which I made using an Ek success flower punch and a swirly vine embossing folder to give the flower texture.
The butterflies are made using a crafters companion mixed media butterfly die set.

I hope you like my project and have a go at one for yourselves .
I HOPE YOU WILL JOIN US IN THE CHALLENGE
Happy Crafting

All Dressed Up

Hi, Kathy here and it is my turn to host our September monthly Challenge at Craft-Dee BowZ.  As always the theme is Anything Goes with a Handmade Bow.

I decided on this cute little image from Northwoods Stamps.  It is called Sassy Halloween Legs.  I love witch boots and their skinny legs.  So when I seen this little stamp I just had to grab it.

I colored the image up with my Copic Markers.  After I was finished with the coloring, I knew it needed a little something else, so I added some Nuvo Crystal drops and glitter, glitter and more glitter.

For my bow I had some Halloween ribbon that I purchased last year.  So I made this cute little bow with my Craft-Dee BowZ bow maker.  I love this tool and look forward to making so many more bows with it.  I plan on using it to make bows for my Christmas packages this year.  If you do not have one go on over and grab one here.  It is such a handy little tool and oh so easy to use.

I hope I have inspired you today and we look forward in seeing what all you have created.  So please join in on our Anything Goes September Challenge.  If you would like to see more on my card you can visit my blog here.

Hugs
Kathy

Spooky

Hello bloggers

Barbara here. And welcome back to Craft-Dee BowZ.
It's Tuesday and that means its time for a DT inspiration post.

As I was preparing a new project for you, I was rummaging around for some embellishments.
You know it's great to plow thru all the stuff we have and don't use all the time.
Yep, Halloween is a great example of that. Well I ran across some cool Halloween embellies so I decided to make a Halloween card.

Some of the things I used I have no clue where they came from, but they are great on a card.

Here is a closer look at my bow.

I used a sheer ribbon (my favorite type of ribbon).
I got carried away and made a 4 loop bow.
Using that sheer ribbon, makes it easy to make a 4 loop bow.
Check out that witch hanging from the bow.

Visit my blog for some additional pics of this card.

Don't forget, the Craft-Dee BowZ challenge is underway.
The CDB challenges run all month.
The theme is always - Anything Goes with a Handmade Bow

Thanks for stopping by and we hope to see you next Tuesday
to check out what Kathy has come up with.
